About the Artists
ERIK OTTO
“Since the day I first put a pencil to paper, I knew I wanted to make things. As basic as that sounds, that same passion to create has never died, and despite all the hardships and sacrifices, nothing else rewards me more than doing what I love.”
Erik Otto is an artist, graphic designer, and art director born and raised in the South Bay Area. He is a graduate from San Jose State University, where he studied Illustration and Animation. After graduation, Otto moved to San Francisco, to be a part of the scene that has largely influenced his artistic style. He has since worked with companies such as Urban Outfitters, Old Navy, Jansport, Wells Fargo, and HBO and recently was awarded the Jury Prize at Cut & Paste’s Digital Design Tournament for 2007. Otto’s personal artwork is exhibited in galleries nationally and is represented by Shooting Gallery in San Francisco.

DENY KHOUNG
Deny Khoung was born in Fairfax, VA in 1980. He grew up in San Jose and pursued an education at San Jose State University where he double majored with a BFA in Graphic Design and a BFA in Photography. His student work has been published in the 25th Type Director’s Club Annual and was a recipient of the Western Art Directors Club Award. After graduation, he began his design career with clients such as Sun Microsystems, Inc., Metro Newspapers, and Old Navy. Khoung currently works as a graphic designer for multidisciplinary design firm Larsen and lectures at San Jose State University.

hey! - first off i really like your t-shirts. they are totally fun, and i enjoy that. i had a question… would you do design work for an indie solo artist?
i go under the moniker of “the spelling tree”…i have this little project and want to print off some t-shirts/stickers/pins.
just wondering if you would be interested.
